Wheelman, To the Wheelmobile!

Wheelman is inspired by an inside joke involving a few of my mates at a LAN party. One of these guys was dubbed The 'Wheelman' after achieving the medal. Thing is, he was being the most unsupportive driver you could possibly think of. From here, many one-liners were spawned, such as "WHEELMAN, Rescuing people from safety". The gametype I developed is an improvement of the 'Hog Potato' currently in Action Sack.

Wheelman is a fairly simple creation. It takes the severely misused 'Hog Potato' gametype, and evolves it into absolute mayhem and fun. This is done by:
  • Significantly reducing the size of the playing field
  • Allowing players to more easily access the 'Hog
  • Allowing players to easily stop the hog
  • Moar explosions, MOAR
The game takes place on The Island, but due to some rocks, it is only roughly 1/3 of the island.
Here is an overview of the map:

Overview

Nothin' much eh? WRONG. This map combined with the Wheelman gametype, will provide some of the best moments you will ever have in Halo: Reach.
The Gametype:
The gametype, as I mentioned before, is a variant of 'Hog Potato', which is the results of Bungie having fun with Megalo (their scripting language) with the gametype 'Hot Potato' (Which AGAIN is an alteration of ODDBALL).
The rules:
  • Each player in the Warthog, will receive one point per second, for their team or for themselves (for F.F.A.)
  • The Warthog will randomly explode after 45 seconds, +/- 15 seconds (max 1 minute)
  • The Warthog is invulnerable to damage
  • You are equipped with Grenade Launchers and Gravity Hammers
  • You have infinite ammunition
  • Players have 2x overshields
  • Players IN the Warthog will do 150% Damage, and have Bottomless clip (applies to passenger only)
  • If the Warthog leaves the map, or falls into the sea, it will 'reset' to the middle of the map
  • There are 2x Plasma Launchers on the map, and an extra 2x rocket launchers and 2x mongeese in the teams variant
  • FFA, 150 point to win, Teams are 400, but you can change that if you wish.
  • Oh, and beware the landmines....
Here is a couple of Action Shots of me and another mate simultaneously hijacking a warthog (we were the Blue peeps):
